A dress code has been established for members and guests of The Oakville Golf Club, both on the golf course and in the Clubhouse. It sets an acceptable standard for appearance.
All members are expected to adhere to the dress code and are also responsible for ensuring that their guests comply with it. Club staff has been directed to discreetly inform members of any infractions by members or their guests.
DRESS CODE
SHOES
Soft-spiked golf shoes, including soft-spiked golf sandals. No metal spikes or running shoes (exception: juniors may wear running shoes).
SHIRTS
MEN - Traditional collared golf shirts. No tank tops or t-shirts. Turtleneck or mock turtleneck golf shirts are acceptable. Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
LADIES - collared golf shirts, with or without sleeves, or non-collared shirts with sleeves. Shirts must be waist length. They must be tucked in at all times, unless designed to be worn outside (i.e. banded). No tank tops or t-shirts.

Tailored pants, shorts or skirts. Shorts and skirts must be at least ¾ length of the thigh. No track pants, warm-up pants or cargo pants.
The rule is neat and comfortable, casual, not disheveled.
The same dress code applies in the lounge as on the golf course. Gentlemen are to remove their hats.
Smart casual for men and ladies (see definition below). For more formal occasions, the dress code is jackets for men, and dresses, suits or tailored pants for ladies. These more formal requirements will be announced as part of an event.

LADIES - Party or casual business attire.
